Yesterday, the International Institute for Creative Development (IICD) celebrated her 7th year anniversary. The event which held at Maitama Abuja, had friends from the French Institute, Nkanta George Ufot (Director of International Cultural Relations, Federal Ministry of Information and Culture), Yolar Magazine, Obi Nwaegbe, Chima Azu, Nnaemeka Ezekwesili, Numero Unoma, Prince Jeffery Ebi, Chike Osita Emembo and a host of artists and friends present.

The Founder, Ndubuisi Nduwhite Ahanonu, confessed to giving up at some point but held on due to encouragement from friends. In an interview with Yolar, Nduwhite makes known the plan of the center to duplicate her activities in other states of the country, thereby reaching out to other artists and harnessing their potentials.

The centre brings together different artists and showcases their styles. It is the first space to hold open studios for artists to come together, share ideas and paint. It is also the first space in Nigeria running an International residency.
